06/26/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Syrus is often seen resting in his kennel. He is an older chap, a bit thin who needed a safe haven to recharge his batteries..I tapped on his shoulder.. “Wake up and smell the turkey jerkey” That worked… Syrus was up in no time…I thought at first that he rightly was all about survival (he has the greatest appetite..) but I was wrong. Syrus really likes to be in the company of people and other dogs alike. I could see that in the street or in the yard where his tail was wagging non stop at the sight of his peers. He so wanted to meet. Syrus can sit on command, telling me that someone taught him once upon a time. He really likes to be petted and he offers a very large smile and bright eyes when he is happy… His coat is shiny vibrant red. He is a beautiful fox who needs mending in experienced, caring and loving hands. Syrus, indeed has a large mass on one of his hips that needs veterinary attention. If caring for the elderly (and its ailments) is what appeals to your heart and capabilities, Syrus is the perfect candidate seeking to spend the rest of his life loved and loving. He is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center.
