10/22/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: As Miss Jemma clung to my leg and pressed her face against my belly, I stroked her and kissed her and promised her a deserved happily ever after. She’s a snuggle girl who recently had puppies and joins us without them. Happy to make a new friend, she’s easily leashed, takes care of her business the moment we’re outside, and shows me a gorgeous prance on leash as we walk to the park. Jemma is a bit thin, and her coat is also too thin, nutrients likely going to her nursing pups. Posing for pics in the park, she’s a good model until a ‘must meet’ squirrel scampers by and then it’s all about the squirrel. Curious and alert, off leash she watches all the activity outside of our pen, not interested in any toys I’ve offered. Jemma’s had her first play date, greeting the helper dog politely and then off to explore the pen again. She’s sweet, she’s calm, she’s affectionate, she’s easy, and she should have a home surrounded by people who love her ‘just because’. Come meet our Jemma today.
