I am a male br brindle and white am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 8 MONTHS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 12/31/2016 from NY 11225, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Eating well EENT: Eyes clear, no ocular discharge, mild mucoid nasal discharge HL: No coughing or sneezing INTEG: healing wound/scab at tip of tail, no bleeding seen or blood on walls; alopecia along tail A: Early CIRDC, resolving tail tip trauma P: Rec doxycycline 200mg po q24 x 10 days. No treatment indicated for tail at this time. Continue to monitor while at BACC. Excellent prognosis

KNOWN HISTORY: N/A Unaltered male, Stray Other notes: Upon intake Jedi was very quiet and shivering for introduction. He soon became very receptive and active appropriate to his age, with loose body, wagging tail, a seeking introduction with sniffing and licking. Jedi allowed all handling. SAFER ASSESSMENT: 01/3/17 Look: 3. Dog jumps on the Assessor, consistently rubs his shoulder on the Assessor, and will not allow Assessor to conduct the assessment. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Dog jumps on Assessor once play begins. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Dog lick hand. Squeeze 2:1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Dog licks hand Toy 1: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. Summary: Jedi was playful with the assessor and the assistant, he displayed no concerns. PLAYGROUP: Jedi was brought to the Care Center as a stray, so his previous behavior towards dogs is unknown. When off leash at the Care Center, Jedi interacts with a novel female while standing on his tiptoes and displaying a high tail. He becomes sexually motivated, and attempts to mount the female greeter. After the handlers interrupt, Jedi briefly explores his surroundings. Jedi was brought to the Care Center as a stray, so his previous behavior towards dogs is unknown. 1/03: When off leash at the Care Center, Jedi interacts with a novel female while standing on his tiptoes and displaying a high tail. He becomes sexually motivated, and attempts to mount the female greeter. After the handlers interrupt, Jedi briefly explores his surroundings. 1/5: Jedi briefly greets the helper female and then immediately stiffens his posture and becomes sexually motivated. He does attempt to mount but listens to the handlers’ interruptions and then just wanders the pen.
