I was found as a stray, but I had a home once. I’m not sure what happened to my people but I hope they’re OK. I was resting in my kennel when a lady named Volunteer unlatched my door. I figured it was a good time to get up and go potty, so I let her leash me. She’s very nice and I’m glad I met her. We went outside and I went potty right away, and then followed Volunteer to the park. She told me she was super impressed with my leash manners – wag, wag wag…… I check up with my person as I walk, and I wagged my tail when she told me I was a good girl…..yes, I understand ‘good girl’! I understand when people talk to me in nice voices; I like people. Volunteer said she needed to take some pictures of me to help me get adopted….I’m not sure what adopted means, but it sounds like a good thing. So, I posed nicely for some pictures both in the park and then when we went into the backyard. Volunteer wanted to put a bow around my neck but I let her know I’m pretty enough without it. Volunteer shared her treats with me and I took them with the very edges of my teeth and that impressed her too, so she gave me more. See how smart I am? I ignored some yappy dogs, content to be with my new human friend. I’m gentle, low key, calm and easy and looking for a person or family to take care of. I have my golden years ahead of me and would love to share them with a nice family. Please ask to meet me when you visit; I’m here waiting for you.03/28/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE Exam Type BEHAVIOR Jean aka Wisteria walks calmly on leash.
