Java
Hello, my name is Java. My animal id is #15652. I am a desexed male tan dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 07-Dec-2017.
Java is at risk due to being diagnosed with Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex, which is contagious to other dogs. Java will likely require in home care with a course of antibiotics. There are no behavior concerns for Java at this time, average determination.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
A volunteer writes: Java is just a tan little guy but so noticeable by his small size, his location in an upper kennel, his serious face , his puppy like appearance and his gentle and needy eyes searching mine. Java is a very likable youngster, very pleasant to walk, often looking for approval as we stroll around the block. He notices the birds but does not give them a wild chase like some others would do. He is polite toward other dogs met and is a calm player in playgroups with his peers. He gives standing hugs and looks for comfort in his caretaker, nuzzling his/her hands for more attention. Java is quite playful, enjoys to run, play tag and dances a little holding my hand. He has beautiful ebony nails but they are so long. Java is really a sweetheart, a cute pocket adult, delicately made who will make a most lovely companion and forever best friend. A home sweet home and a master to love is all what Java dreams of..Come and meet him soon at the Manhattan Care Center. Another volunteer writes as told by Java: Hi out there, I’m Java. I love people, I love other dogs, I’m a tail wagger and a hugger, and am here waiting to hug you! My friend, Volunteer, wanted to put a sweater on me which I really appreciated as it’s so cold now, and I couldn’t help it, but I rolled over for a belly rub in the middle of her dressing me. We both laughed, she rubbed my belly, and then I let her finish dressing me. I love treats and take them softly, love being out and about, have romped with other dogs in groups and had a ball, and am ready to find my forever home. My shelter assessment says “Java has shown social bouncy behaviors”, and yup, that’s me. I’m fun, friendly, smart, and ready to make my forever home with you…you’ll be the envy of all your friends after I move in, just wait and see. Be sure to ask to meet me when you visit. That’s J A V A.
