02/03/2016 WEB MEMO
A staff member writes: Jada is a shy girl that would flourish in a quiet home. This doesn’t mean she isn’t down for a good time. Jada has a lot of energy to burn and would have a blast running and playing around the park or a spacious backyard. Come to the Brooklyn care center to meet Jada and see if she is a good fit for your home. A volunteer writes: (written as a personal ad) BE MY VALENTINE!! <3 Hey there, I’m Jada. I recently became homeless when my family was evicted. I’m feeling pretty lonely lately since I had been living with them my whole life. I had a little human sibling who I always tried to love and be affectionate with. I would let him pull my tail and ears, even though I really didn’t like it. I had a cat friend too, who I always got along with. When I first got here, I was so confused and a little bit scared. I have started to get more comfortable and let some of my volunteer friends into my inner circle. AKA: Sweety, Pretty Girl, Legs Age: 4 years old Zodiac Sign: Leo Favorites: Sleeping in my favorite cubby under the bed. Protecting my family, they’re my priority. Slow walks (I’m housebroken so I know to go outside!) Squeaky toys and balls (what dog doesn’t love a good toy?). Water-I won’t even mind if you try to give me a bath! Showing off my tricks-I know “sit,” “stay,” “give paw,” and “high five.” And if you forget to ask me to give paw, I’ll spontaneously offer you my hand to let you know I can do it! ISO (In search of): A companion who will be patient with me and let me warm up. Once I do, I am the most loving, obedient gal around, but it takes me more time than other dogs might. I’m pretty low-key so a medium activity leveled family is ideal, though I am always game for a long walk or romp in the yard. They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but I’m pretty sure I can convince you that my gem is even better! Ask to meet me today.
