10/05/16 16:35 BASIC INFO Isaiah A1092451 is an approximately 4 year old Yorkie Mix. He is being surrendered to the shelter because the owner moved to a place where pets are not allowed. Isaiah was purchased from a pet store. Isaiah does not have any health concerns. SOCIALIZATION Isaiah is shy around strangers, but warms up to them after a while. He has never lived with any children. He plays gentle with adults. He has lived with 2 other Yorkies, and he was friendly, affectionate and respectful towards them. He has never bitten anyone. BEHAVIOR Isaiah does not have any behavior issues. He allows you to take away his food bowl, water bowl, or toy away. He allows you to bathe him. He is not bothered if awakened from his sleep. If an unfamilair approaches the doorway, he barks. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Isaiah is best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. He has a medium activity level. When home, he follows you around. He has been kept mostly indoors. He eats pedigree dry dog food. He sleeps on a doggy bed. He is house trained. For exercise, he is walked on the leash. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Isaiah did not allow any handling. He was nervous.

KNOWN HISTORY: [Unaltered, Owner surrender] Previously lived with: Adults and two other Yorkies Behavior toward children: Unknown Behavior toward dogs: Isaiah was affectionate toward his canine housemates Behavior toward cats: Unknown FG/RG: He allows you to take away his food bowl, water bowl, or toy away. Bite history: None Housetrained: Yes Energy level/descriptors: Isaiah is described as friendly, affectionate and playful, with a medium activity level. Other notes: Isaiah is shy around strangers, but warms up to them after a while. During intake, Isaiah did not allow any handling. He was tense. SAFER ASSESSMENT: [10-7-16] Summary: Isaiah was difficult to remove from his kennel showing teeth, growling and lunges at the rope. He did not show any social behavior. Once he was out of his kennel he was extremely fearful and does not allow the handler to pet him Isaiah snaps at the handler and move away. The behavior team decided to place him back in his kennel due to concerns for staff safety and for Isaiah’s stress level. DOG-DOG INTERACTION ASSESSMENT: Summary PLAYGROUP: [10-6-16]: When off leash with other dogs Isaiah explores the yard and avoids interaction. MEDICAL: [10-5-16]: During his initial medical examination, Isaiah was tense and trembling, but he allowed handling and restraint.
