Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Iron Sheik came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. At intake it was reported Iron Sheik had soft body posture with his tail wagging, he allowed all handling. During SAFER Iron Sheik came into the assessment room loose and wiggly, he was friendly, playful and affectionate towards the assessor, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Iron Sheik joins the game during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Iron Sheik was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Iron Sheik appears to be a high-energy dog that will likely do best with an adopter prepared to provide mental and physical stimulation and appropriate outlets for his energy. The behavior department feels he can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture.
