A Little Bit About Me…

A volunteer writes: Ten year old Ichi was brought to us with sister Hazel without “drums and trumpets”(a French say..). So, we have to discover them, imagine and  wonder what was their life like as pets…. and mostly think about what would be the best home we could offer them to spend their golden years. Ichi is a bit like your “Ol’ Gpa”…He has seen it all , knows it all and has an unquestionable  opinion about everything and everyone.  Well, it is pretty tough for such a dogmatic dog to find himself amidst so many other pooches, people, new quarters and away  from his pillars…home and family…He will let you know when he wants something to be done a certain way, his way, like getting a ball or a treat fast enough or meeting another dog in playgroup  according to his own etiquette.Ichi, although a bit thin, is quite handsome and not shy at all. He is a great walker, most likely house trained  and proper nearing other dogs in the street or the park. He is quite energetic , runs, jumps and twirls to catch a tennis ball.  He so loves a good butt scratch , soft talks and caresses.  I really like him and has still in him what’s needed to make a solid, fun and loving companion. Come and meet our “pop” at the Manhattan Care Center and make him yours.

If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email helpdogs@urgentpodr.org. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.

* We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
