A volunteer writes:
Huntie is a tiny girl, barely out of puppyhood and who is slightly bigger than a “little dog”. She is very cute despite the fact tat she is overly thin, showing all her bones…. Her  eyes are stunning  , stealing away  our attention from the rest of her small body dressed in a honey and cream coat. She most likely did not have the life of a posh pet but she acts like she has been someone’s beloved friend all her short life. Huntie is soo welcoming, gentle in her manners, seeking attention and giving lots of hugs and kisses. Her tail wags non stop. She appreciates every second spent with her caretaker, looking with so much  trust at him or her . She is feather like and while on my lap , she does not feel heavier than a Jack Russell….Huntie walks quite well on the leash and even does her business upon exiting her kennel. She seems quite fine meeting other dogs in the street and does not appear scared of those sticking their noses at her den’s door.  Huntie is a tiny damsel, very young and gentle, easy going and loving. Come and meet her at the Manhattan Care Center. She is sure to make your fall and winter  for years to come, sunny and warm with her love.

For more information on adopting from the NYC AC&C, or to find a rescue to assist, please read the following: http://urgentpodr.org/adoption-info-and-list-of-rescues.

If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email helpdogs@urgentpodr.org. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.

* We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
