06/11/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Hope came to us as a stray so we don’t have any behavior information other than what has been observed in the shelter environment. When attempting to take Hope from her kennel she immediately growls in a crouching position and bares her teeth as the kennel door opens. Due to this behavior a SAFER assessment will not be conducted due to stress levels and safety concerns. During Hope’s medical evaluation she was fearful when approached and was reported to growl and lunge when found. She only allowed minimal handling to be completed. We believe that Hope should be placed with a New Hope partner at this time.
