I am a female black am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 3 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 10/21/2016 from NY 11208, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/2/16 Recheck wound on right side of face. O: BAR. EENT: Mild nasal discharge. INTEG: Right side of face over zygomatic arch – wound scabbed, no discharge, mild SQ swelling/scar tissue. A: Healing wound, no signs of infection. CIRDC previously diagnosed. P: No additional therapy needed for wound. Continue Doxy as prescribed. Excellent prognosis.

10/21/16 20:11 Molly is an all black seems to be a American pitbull terrier mix. She came in as a stray. She was a bit nervous at first with tucked tail but warmed up to counselor when approached. Counselor was able to collar and take intake photo.

KNOWN HISTORY: N/A Unaltered, Stray SAFER ASSESSMENT: 10/25/16 Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is closed. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game. She is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 2. Dog gently places hr open mouth over the Assessor’s hand without applying pressure. Squeeze 2: Dog gently places her open mouth over the Assessor’s hand without applying pressure. Toy: 1. Minimal interest, dog sniffs toy. Summary: Holly displayed no behavioral concerns on her assessment. PLAYGROUP: Holly was brought in as a stray so her past behavior around other dogs is unknown. Holly was brought in as a stray so her past behavior around other dogs is unknown. When off leash at the Care Center, Holly greets other dogs displaying stiff body language and hard stares. A muzzle is placed on her. Once in the pens, she chases other dogs and lunges on their backs. Due to the reactivity towards other dogs seen here at the Care Center, the Behavior Department recommends that Holly be placed in a home with no other dogs. 10/23: Holly greets with a tense body, hard stare and her hackles raise immediately. Due to this Holly is muzzled before being allowed to interact directly with the helper dog. Once in the pen Holly tensely chases the other dog while snapping at him. The session is ended. 10/27: Holly freezes and hard stares at the greeter dog and a muzzle is placed on her. As soon as she is allowed to enter the pen, Holly silently lunges onto the greeter dog’s back. The session is ended.
