MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted. Poor hair coat, dirty, matted, hypotrichosis along dorsum. CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: normal externally Assessment: geriatric, cryptorchid, hair matted, dental disease. enlarged submandibular LN — r/o secondary to DD hypotrichosis — r/o secondary to hair matting vs old age vs nutritional vs endocrine. Prognosis: good
Plan: bath, shave hair matts, nail trim CBC/chem/T4/UA (can be free catch)
plan for cryptorchid neuter. SURGERY: Okay for surgery Behavior: 11/4: When introduced off leash to other dogs, Holden greets politely then wanders the pen.
