I am a male black and white chihuahua sh and schipperke mix. The shelter thinks I am about 2 YEARS
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 12/08/2016 from NY 10457, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Seezing/ wheezing reported with a bit of blood. S/O) Quiet in cage- had no NND. But when opening cage, dog became hyperexcited and sneezing with SND. No blood seen BARH. MM pk. SND and sneezing. H/L good. Abd: NSF. UG: intact male, testicles NSF. A) CIRDC. P) Move to iso sign. Doxy 100 mg 1/2 tab PO SID x 10 days.

12/08/2016 15:13 Socialization Hercules is not ever around strangers and does not usually interact with many strange people or children. When brought on walks he is also not allowed to interact with other people so his behavior with them is unknown. Hercules has never interacted closely with other dogs but when he sees them he barks at them.Hercules has never interacted with cats. Behavior Hercules is house trained and uses the bathroom either on newspaper or outside. He does not prefer weewee pads and will chew them up. he does not destroy household items. Hercules does not mind having his food, treats or toys touched or taken. He is not bothered by being disturbed while sleeping. When being bathed he will try to jump out of the bathtub but will still allow. He is not bothered by being brushed. When having his nails trimmed he allows it but will struggle or pull foot away. He barks when someone rings or knocks on the door. New Family Hercules has a medium level of activity at home. He sleeps in his owners room in a doggy bed. He follows owner around the house. He is kept mostly indoors. He is house trained and prefers newspaper or grass. When left alone in the house he is well behaved. He knows the command sit and his name Hercules as come. He does not pull on the leash and is not walked without a leash. He is fed Alpo dry food twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Intake Hercules approached councilor with a loose body and allowed petting but when trying to touch more he growled and bit councilors shoe. Hercules did not allow councilor or finder to place colloar on without trying to bite but still allows petting. When finder tried to lift Hercules off of ground to place into cage he growled at finder, he most likely does notlike having stomach touched either.

Energy level/descriptors: Previous owner stated that Hercules has a medium energy level. Other notes: Upon intake Hercules was growling and snapping, bit the counselor’s shoe.
