A Little Bit About Me…

A volunteer writes: Herb is 80 hunky pounds of everything you love about dogs, a big ol’ marshmallow who gets along fabulously with friends of all species and comes, sits, shakes paw and even gives hugs and kisses on command! Quiet and unassuming despite his size, gentle is Herb’s middle name and he simply couldn’t be any easier to handle. Not only does he walk nicely, appear very house trained and greet everyone we pass with the polite manners of a born gentleman, it seems there’s absolutely nothing that fazes him. From playing kids to howling sirens to barking dogs, Herb keeps his natural chill no matter what and with his mellow, mushy ways he’d fit almost any home like a buttery soft glove. Who needs a vacation when you’ve got Herb? I can’t think of anything more relaxing than whiling away the dog days of summer with this gentle giant by your side and I’ll bet he can’t either. Visit our Manhattan Care Center and fall in love with the dog of your dreams, Herb will be waiting…

If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email helpdogs@urgentpodr.org. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.

* We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
