I am a neutered male black labrador retr and am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 1 YEAR 1 MONTH old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 01/25/2017 from NY 11373, owner surrender reason stated was NO TIME.

01/31/2017 Exam Type RE-EXAM – Medical Rating is 3 C – MAJOR CONDITIONS , Behavior Rating is AVERAGE, Weight 56.2 LBS.
01/31/17 Seems quieter than normal on rounds. O: QARH. Resting on bed, did not get up when approached. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. EENT: Mucoid nasal discharge, sneezing with a hint of blood. H/L: No coughing. No cough elicited on tracheal palpation. ABD/UG: No vomiting/diarrhea. Recently neutered – castration incision clean, dry, intact. A: CIRDC. P: Move to iso. Rx Doxycycline 100 mg. 2.5 Po q 24 hours x 10 days. Excellent prognosis.

01/25/17 14:14 Basic information: Henry is a Labrador Retriever/ American Pit Bull terrier who was surrendered due to his previous owner not having the time to care for him. Socialization: Around strangers Henry is friendly and plays exuberantly. Henry has spent time with children ages 10 and 7 years old, around them he was relaxed, and played exuberantly. Henry has spent time with one other dog who was a beagle, around him Henry was relaxed and playful. Henry has never been around cats so it is unknown how he will react to being around them. Behavior: Henry has never bitten another person or animal, but is afraid of ironing boards. Henry is friendly when someone touches his food or bowl while he is eating, takes a treat/toy away, pushes/pulls him off of the furniture, holds/restrains him, disturbs him while he is resting/sleeping, gives him a bath, brushes him, or trims his nails. If an unfamiliar person approaches Henry’s family or home he would be friendly toward them. For a New family to Know: Henry is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, mellow and excitable with a high activity level. When at home Henry will follow around his owner and likes to play with all toys. Henry likes to play fetch and tug. Henry was fed dry food from the brand Core. Henry is house trained and rarely has any accidents. When left at home alone Henry will chew on random items when bored. Henry knows the commands sit, come, down and wait. Henry likes brisk walks on a leash. Henry was never walked without a leash. Intake behavior: Henry allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression. Henry was very friendly toward staff and enjoyed being pet by staff.

SAFER ASSESSMENT: 1/28/17 Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. His ears are back, his tail is down, and he has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity:1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1&2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are relaxed. Toy: 1.Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. He initially explores his surrounding, but when he re-approaches the her, he becomes sexually motivated. He presently mounts the greeter, ignoring the handler’s interruptions. 1/31: In a group of playful male and female dogs, Henry solicits and engages in gentle play. He may attempt to mount male and female dogs, but is able to continue to play when solicited.

01/26/17 Microchip scan neg. O: BARH. Social but gets agitated with increased handling. Muzzled for portions of exam and for vaccines. Allowed all exam. ORAL: All adult teeth erupted, excellent dental condition. EENT: No oculonasal discharge. Mild periocular erythema. AU- mod. erythema, pruruitis, mild tan discharge. Ears seem uncomfortable. H/L: HR=120, RR=pant. Lungs clear, no murmurs/arrhythmias. No coughing. ABD/UG: Intact male, both testicles palpable. Palpation WNL. MS: Amb x 4, no lameness. INTEG: Erythema, thin fur between digits all 4 paws. Erythema and areas of thin fur over flanks, thorax, distal limbs. Pruritis. A: Age est 1 year. Otitis externa AU. Pododermatitis. Suspect allergic dermatitis – r/o atopy, food allergies, FAD. P: OK for castration surgery. Rx Mometamax 5 drops AU q 24 hours x 7 days. Rx Benadryl 50 mg 1 PO BID x 10 days. Rx Rimadyl 100 mg 1 PO q 24 hours x 7 days. Rx Cephalexin 500 mg 1 PO BID x 14 days. Good prognosis with appropriate management. May need ongoing treatment for allergic skin disease (antihistamines, EFA supplementation, novel protein diet, etc.).
