A volunteer writes: Heaven came to us as a presumed victim of a car accident. After a few days spent in the medical quarters, she was given a clean bill of health and released with just a few scrapes. Heaven is a pretty and healthy gal, all dressed in cinnamon, doted with dark amber eyes and a Black Mouth Curr muzzle. She is glad to exit her kennel and to go for a speedy walk around the block. She eyes the birds but is cool with all other dogs met. She does her business on the way and sits on command for treats and ..for the photo shoot. She loves to be free in a large pen and at times makes sudden zoomiess across the space for reasons only known to her…. She would love to meet another female spending time with her volunteer on the other side of the gate. Her tail wags vigorously…She is even trying to open the door…In playgroups with her peers, Heaven has shown initial shyness but then engages in running play with males and females. She likes treats and caresses and will come without asking on my lap for comfort and bonding. In a nutshell, Heaven is a cute little gal, a bit timid, may be a tiny winsy anxious but sociable, friendly and loving. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center and help her forget all about her ordeal in your caring and loving hands.

PLAYGROUP:

3/24: When off leash with a male dog Heaven is fearful and spends the majority of her interaction avoiding interaction and maintaining a tucked tail. After an extended period of time outside she softens a bit and approaches the greeter dog to sniff briefly.

3/25: Heaven, again, comes into the yard fearful but warms up quickly. She begins to solicit and engage in running play with male and female dogs. She responds well to correction.
