A volunteer writes: Allow me to introduce you to the kookiest, crooked-faced, cutie in all of Kings County-Cinderella! Her face may not be symmetrical, she might not have a full set of teeth, but she’s a little princess worthy of any ball. Aside from being irresistibly adorable, Cinderella is so much fun! She loves to play with toys, is very wiggly and playful, and is extremely food motivated! She will sit on command, seems housetrained and her former owner tells us that she’s been exposed to children of all ages and gets along with them all! We’re told Cinderella seems to prefer smaller male dogs to be her friend, as two of her former pals were a Shih-Tzu and a Jack Russell Terrier. I can only imagine what a sight those three were! Cinderella’s former owner said that she likes bath time, was always there to greet her, and is very affectionate. All Cinderella needs is her fairy godmother (or father) to give her the fairytale, happy ending she deserves. Ask to meet her today!

Owner has since then kept Cinderella away from female dogs. Cinderella has been exposed to two male dogs, a Jack Russell and Shih Tzu. Cinderella gets along well with both dogs and plays gently with them. When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Cinderella initially displayed assertive posturing with a novel male dog. She responded well to handler interruptions and explored the pen. In a group of calm male and female dogs, Cinderella is uncomfortable during face to face greetings and mostly keeps to herself. The Behavior Department believes that Cinderella would be most comfortable as the only dog in the home, however a dog-dog interaction can be conducted with a potential adopter’s dog to assess Cinderella’s comfort level. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 12/9/16: During her medical examination, Cinderella was shy and nervous, but allowed all handling. ENERGY LEVEL: RECOMMENDATIONS: Experience (suitable for an adopter with some previous dog experience) Potential challenges: _x_Recommend no dog parks: See Playgroup notes. We recommend an adopter who can provide some counterconditioning and desensitization to help address any underlying anxiety Cinderella may have when meeting other dogs. Until this behavior is further investigated and addressed, we recommend no dog parks.

Another volunteer writes: Cinderella just might be the cutest little goblin I have laid eyes on since I started at the Brooklyn ACC. She looks to me like she smiled so hard that it just got stuck on one side. Her happiness and her goofy lopsided smile is absolutely infectious. Just try meeting her and not smiling yourself. Not possible. I can only imagine how coming home to this little sprite doing her happy tap dance would make you instantly forget any bad thing that happened to you that day. She’s just THAT cute! And THAT happy to see you! Don’t miss out on this little Disney princess. She is truly one of a kind. Come meet her today!
