02/02/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: How cute is this guy? Gorgeous in his beige coat with white accents, he’s clearly been well taken care of before joining us. He’s friendly and fun, and likely housetrained taking care of his ‘business’ as soon as we were out the door. We walked past a mirrored door and Maisy stopped and gazed at the dog looking back at him, wagging his tail slightly and probably wondering who that handsome dog was looking back at him. Too cute! Some people stopped to meet him and he was thrilled to make new friends, wagging his tail and snuggling. Maisy loved playing fetch with me in the backyard, letting me take the ball right out of his mouth for another throw. He eventually settles down to give the ball a good chomp but never guarding it. Sweet, friendly, with all the puppy enthusiasm for life that he should have, Maisy is hoping to meet his new BFF and go home. We’re rooting for him all the way, so come meet him today and help make his dreams come true.

02/02/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Maisy engages in rough, running play with males and females. He will attempt to mount, both sexes, but is more interested in play. He came from a home with a female dog (who is equally as boistrous as he), and his owner reports they “got along well and are very affectionate to each other.” Based on these observations the behavior department recommends Maisy go to a home with another rough, playful dog. When off leash with other dogs Maisy engages in rough wrestling play with the helper dog. 2/3 update: Maisy bounces around the helper dog and will begin to whine and attempt to mount her. 2/6 update: Maisy offers paw slaps to solicit play and will jump on and over the other dogs (males) during play.
