I adore Bull Terriers so when I spot a tail-wagging brindle cutie looking up at me like I’m the best thing he’d seen all day, there’s really only one thing to say…Harry, we’re going on a date! It’s lucky I’m not the jealous type because it seems I’m dating a celebrity and every staff member we pass also has ‘a thing’ for Harry. They call out his name with a smile or stop to pet his head and coo over his beautiful thick fur and it’s pretty clear this fan club is not wanting for new members! Harry’s a sweet boy and very much a baby at heart, eager for attention and love and ready to go go go all the hours of the day. Unlike most Bull Terrier mixes I’ve met, he’s incredibly open to guidance and not stubborn in the least. I pick him up and place him in my lap and there he stays, soaking up petting and exchanging kisses for as long as I’m giving them out. Call him over and he comes at a stubby-legged run, eyes bright with anticipation of even more attention. Toss a tennis ball and watch him play with the purest delight, kicking it all around the pen as he gently picks it up then drops it, kicks it and starts the game all over again. Harry seems house trained but like all youngsters he’d benefit from an obedience class or two to teach him the basics of sit, stay and heel and he’ll need a very active family able to keep up with his full-on energy levels. I can only imagine what a proud pleasure it will be to see him grow and learn, to wake up to his smiling face every day and fall asleep enjoying his snuggles every night. I can only imagine…but you don’t have to! Harry is ready for adoption right now and waiting for his forever family with open arms, just come in to our Manhattan Care Center and look for the cutest boy on the block!
