10/24/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/24/16 20:18 Harper appeared nervous when he first came into the office. His ears were back and he hid behind his finder’s legs. After a few minutes, he came out to sniff counselor. When his finder left, he allowed counselor to pet and collar him. He accepted treats from the counselor’s hand. He pulled lightly on the leash but would usually listen when counselor told him to sit.
10/29/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Of Scottish origin the name Harper means “pleasant and brave”, and our Harper is both those things. It can also mean someone who plays the Harp – but I’m guessing that our Harper doesn’t call Harp playing among his talents. ‘Pleasant and brave’ describes him perfectly, as he was found as a stray, too thin (we’re feeding him an extra meal each day), and is understandably a bit anxious about his new surroundings. One of his many talents is catching treats on the fly – he never misses!! Harper looks like a sleek fox, his ears straight up, his nose long and elegant, and once his coat fills out you may think he descended from a fox family. Alert, lively, up on the bench for a kiss, back down to explore, back up for a hug, back down to explore, Harper is curious about everything going on around him. He’s young with a lifetime of exploration in front of him and hopes to find his human counterpart to explore together. “Pleasant and brave”……our Mr. Harper is hoping to get the chance to meet you.
