DVM Intake Exam; Estimated age: ~10-12 years; Microchip noted on Intake? negative; History : stray ; Subjective: BARH; Observed Behavior – very sweet. Easily handleable. Did well for all medical handling and procedures; Objective ; P = wnl ; R = eupneic ; BCS 5/9; EENT: Eyes clear with nuclear sclerosis ou, have stenotic canals with moderate purulent d/c and foul odor, no nasal discharge noted; Oral Exam: adult dentition with mild dental disease, no oral lesions noted; PLN: No enlargements noted; H/L: NSR, grade 4/6 HM, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic; ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated; U/G: FI, large ~4cm multilobulated mass on mid left mammary chain, multiple smaller MGTs on both sides of mammary chain, no vulvar d/c; MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, dermal mass on top of head, greasy hair coat; CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities; Assessment: Grade 4/6 HM; Otitis externa-chronic; Mild dental disease; Large MGT on mid left mammary chain; Several smaller MGTs along both sides of mammary chain; Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC; Rec removal and histopath of MGTs; Clean ears and apply claro; Start baytril 10mg/kg PO SID x10d for otitis externa; Recheck ears in 7 days; Rec cardiology consult; Prognosis: Poor to guarded; SURGERY: permanent waiver from surgery due to age and illness

Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions.
Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, eyes are averted, and tail is in neutral position with a relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item.
Tag: 1. Dog follows at the end of the leash, body soft.
Paw squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his/her paw.
Paw squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his/her paw.
Toy: 1. No interest.
Summary: Harmony was social towards the assessor, allowing all handling during the assessment.
Summary (1): Harmony was surrender as a stray so her past behavior with other dogs is unknown.
10/27-30: When off leash at the Care Center, Harmony greets a group of small male and female dogs with a soft posture. She repeatedly corrects a playful puppy, and escalates her correction when the puppy ignores her.
