06/07/2016 WEB MEMO
06/07/16 14:49 A staff member writes: Harley will bring a lot of love to wherever his new home may be! He can be a little shy at first around people and dogs he doesn’t know, but after a few minutes it would be hard to imagine a sweeter, more friendly, more fun guy. He has impeccable manners and is well-behaved, but that doesn’t stop him from really getting into a game of chase or tug-of-war. This big gentleman is ready to give all his love, he just needs a home to do it!

The owner mentioned Harley will often chew on shoes and tear up his soft toys at home. The owner describes Harley as friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow and aloof. It was reported by the owner Harley is house trained, has a medium activity level and well behaved when home alone. At intake it was reported Harley was calm and allowed all handling. During SAFER Harley came into the assessment room loose and wiggly, he was friendly and very playful towards the assessor. He allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Harley is reported to show destructive behavior in the home, such as chewing on shoes and tearing up his toys. We are unaware of what, if any, attempts were made to remedy this behavior but we suggest to future adopters that Harley will need to be provided with physical and mental stimulation and with a variety of appropriate and engaging chew toys so Harley can engage in necessary chewing behavior without damage to human objects.
