10/18/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: You might be drawn in initially by Hansel’s good looks, but it’s her personality that really seals the deal. Hansel likes to cuddle, give kisses, and explore her surroundings–she’s very curious about everything (much like her namesake) and enjoys chasing her tennis ball as much as she likes sitting down and closely observing everything that’s happening around her. Hansel doesn’t love loud noises or sudden movements, and isn’t sure if she likes other dogs yet (we recommend she be a single doggy in a home with an experienced adopter), but what she lacks in manners, she more than makes up for in sweetness. Please come and see this beautiful blonde at the Brooklyn ACC.

Once she looks at the male dog, she hard stares and muzzle punches him. She freezes and then lunges at the male dog. The session is ended. A second attempt was tried 10/15, Hansel shows barrier reactivity. She begins barking at other dogs that are a few feet away from her. A muzzle is placed on her for the greeter dog’s safety. Once in the pen, she displays slightly stiff body language as she greets the male dog and allows him to greet her. She then chooses to walk away from him.
