A volunteer writes:
Greg is a young lad, a puppy still who can’t take a bad picture with his award winning smile, his bright eyes and congenial disposition. He is adorable and well made, healthy looking  and wears a well groomed anthracite and white coat. He is ready when you are, sitting right behind his door and leashed in no time. Greg walks cheerfully around the block, his tail floating graciously above him. He attends to business right away and ignores the pigeons. No jumping or leash biting..We are just enjoying a nice stroll in a warm afternoon. Other pooches  catch his attention . Greg would like very much to play with them. He will have to wait for his turn at playgroups with his peers. Greg is a wonderful “sitter”, treats or no treats. He even gave me his right paw…He takes dry liver kibbles very gently from my hand. Can he hop on the bench? Sure..One , two, three… Greg is on my lap, dispensing kisses and receiving caresses. Greg is a lively puppy with medium energy, very cute  and friendly, super sociable and affectionate. Like any puppy, he will need some training to add to all what he knows already. So, do not wait any longer. Come and meet our boy and make him yours. Greg is waiting  for you at the Manhattan Care Center.
BEHAVIOR :

ASSESSMENT:
Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions.
Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item.
Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft, wagging tail, open mouth.
Squeeze 1/2:  1. Dog gently pulls back his paw.
Toy: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy.
Summary: Greg showed NO concern during the behavior assessment.
PLAYGROUP:
10/20: When introduced off leash to other dogs, Greg engages in typical puppy play.
Summary
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:
During his initial medical examination, Greg readily allowed all handling without issue.
ENERGY LEVEL:
RECOMMENDATIONS: Average (Suitable for an adopter with an average amount of dog experience)
