A volunteer writes:

Goldie  is “pure Chihuahua  material”. All stressed out in an environment that is not hers and a love in the hands of her owners… Goldie is with us for no fault of her own but because her  master  became unable to care for her. She so deserves her name as she is all dressed in gold.  She is slightly plump without being overweight and wears a perfect coat.Goldie is leashed quite easily but is a bit wary  to be outfitted with a scarf or to be picked up. She enjoys a walk around the block. She is quite lively and does her business on the way. She loves to be free in a pen and looks so very much happier after some time spent with her new caretakers, us, the volunteers. I love the comment made by her former family . It says it all about Goldie:”  GOLDIE is a loving and passionate companion and at the same time won’t ever bother you if you not in the mood to play with her. She is very a sensible and loving Chihuahua.” What do you think? Are you tempted? Could she be the one you have been looking and longing for? Goldie is at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming to be yours.

PROFILE:

Owner bio:

GOLDIE is a sweetest 10 years old Chihuahua.  It is hard to believe that she is 10 – she looks and acts exactly the same when my parents first got her from the shelter 8 years ago. GOLDIE is  a healthy dog, without any medical condition. She is a very low maintenance – she needs to go outside twice a day and basically that’s it. She is completely housetrained. Sometimes when she wants you to play with her and lays on her back waiting for you to pet her stomach she would rarely squirt. But that’s only because she is excited. GOLDIE loves to run outside and runs with the same energy as years ago. She loves people very much and love playing with them. She doesn’t love other dogs as much though. She barks often at the dogs passing by on the street.  Otherwise GOLDIE almost never barks, except when somebody is at the door knocking, so she is being protective of her owners.  GOLDIE is a loving and passionate companion and at the same time won’t ever bother you if you not in the mood to play with her. She is very sensible and loving Chihuahua.
