05/12/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/12/16 18:41 Givenchy is an 8 month old male American Pit-Bull and Husky mix. He was purchased from a breeder by his owner and has been in his care since 7 months; he is being surrendered into our facility due to owner’s landlord. There are known health injuries or concerns. His most recent Vet care was a month ago at Clinton Hill Vets (no paperwork was provided). With strangers he is friendly and is exuberant with adults. He has lived with children 10 being the youngest 17 the oldest and is gentle with them. He has no experience with being around other dogs or cats. There is no known history of him biting another animal or person. He often poops indoors; he still is a puppy being trained. And at times can be hard to control. Behavior is unknown during fireworks or storms. He is friendly when his bowl is being touched and when treats are being taken away. When objects or toys are taken he barks. You are able to give him a bath, isn’t bothered when his nails are being trimmed and is friendly when his coat is being brushed. You can hold and restrain him; when unfamiliar people approach you or the home he is friendly. Givenchy is described as being friendly, playful, affectionate and pushy with a very high activity level that would do best in a house that has large room or space. He is unique for being smart and likes to play catch. When home he will follow you around; or play with his squeaky toys or chew bones. He sleeps anywhere comfortable and is mostly kept indoors. He eats dry Puppy Chow at least 3 times a day and enjoys Chew sticks for treats. He is housetrained and rarely has accidents within the home. When he is left alone in the house he barks and whines. When left alone in the yard he barks; he has never been crate trained and knows such commands as “sit” and “stay”. For exercise he goes on brisk walks on the leash and will pull hard. Off the leash he will stay by your side and usually potty on the cement or dirt. During intake Givenchy at first present a very loose body and was curious about his surroundings; allowed handling from counselor to be collare3d, scanned (negative) and photographed but was tensed and nervous.

05/17/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Givenchy previously lived with adults and children 10 and 17 years old. The owner stated Givenchy is gentle and playful with children. The owner mentioned Givenchy is partially house broken and still in training because he’s a puppy, he has a high activity level and when home alone he barks and whine. The owner describes Givenchy as friendly, playful, affectionate and pushy. At intake it was reported Givenchy has loose body posture and was curious about his surroundings, he allowed all handling. During SAFER Givenchy came into the assessment room calm and relaxed, he was friendly and playful towards the assessor. He allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Givenchy was relaxed during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Givenchy was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Givenchy appears to be sociable, and did not display any behaviors concerns, so the department feels he can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. His ears are back, his tail is down, and he has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2:1.
