09/07/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Garry came into the Care Center as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. Behavior during intake: Garry was nervous and attempted to bite the counselor. He did allow collaring by counselor. During SAFER Garry came into the assessment room a bit nervous. He was wary of the assessor, and did not feel comfortable enough to be positioned, or have his collar adjusted. Not all tactile items were able to be conducted as Garry snapped at the assessor when attempting adjust his collar. He displayed no interest in any of the resource items during this portion of the assessment. In light of this behavior we feel that placement with a rescue that can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification is the best option at this time. Toy 1: No interest. Playgroup:When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Garry greets the male and female dogs appropriately and explores the pen. He may attempt to mount a female, persisting after she offers correction.
