A volunteer writes:
Named for a superhero character with a rep for being a ‘ladie’s man’, our own gorgeous Gambit is every bit as roguishly charming as his namesake and just as comfortable showing off his powers on the ball field as he is on the leash. If you’re looking for that elusive canine combo of calm public persona and bouncy at-home athleticism then here’s your dog! Gambit is a superstar walker and heels close at all times, taking care of his business promptly and meeting other dogs of all sizes, both friendly and snappy, like the good-natured galoot he is. But don’t think that chill is Gambit’s only setting, he’s got just as much energy as you’d expect from a Lab mix and free in a pen he’s all about jumping, chasing balls and generally getting his zoomie on and when the treats come out he has eyes for nothing else but food food food–a dog after my own heart! Now that he’s rocked his behavior assessment this bouncing boy would love to find an active, big dog-savvy family to call his own. Take a gambit on Gambit and be rewarded with enough love and laughter to last a lifetime!

A volunteer writes “The first thing I noticed about Gambit were his gorgeous, piercing caramel eyes. He was extremely excited to come out of his kennel. He pulled the leash the first part of the walk but calmed down considerably after that. A real nice feature is that he didn’t lunge at passing dogs on the street! As far as his potty manners are concerned, he took care of business as soon as we came outside and it was the last thing he did before we we went back in. That’s my kinda dog!”
