03/19/16 10:16 Basic Information Frankie Is a year old dog that has lived with his family since he was born. Frankie has severe anxiety and has attacked the other dogs in the home multiple times. The family is worried for their other pets and decided to surrender Frankie. Socialization: Frankie lived with his mother ( a 4 year old pit bull) and a pug. The dogs are usually able to play with toys in the house together and are fed seperately. The first attack situation happened when the mother pit bull was in heat. Frankie kepts attempting to mount her when she gave a correction snap. The pug ran up to the confontation and Frankie redirected and bit the pug in the eye and held down. The owners had to pull Frankie off the pug. The pug went blind from the injuries. The second time the pug was trying to hump the mother dog while in heat and Frankie quickly bit the pug’s head and retreated. This left a puncture wound on his face. Frankie has never been around children or other animals. Behavior: Frankie is descibed as beign a very anxious dog. He is very nervous around sudden movements and loud noises. He will sit in a corner and shake uncontrolably when put in stressful situations (too many people, too much noise, etc). If the owner attempts to touch him while in this state, he will growl and get stiff. He will also attempt to snap at people’s hand if they pet the top of his head. When not in a stressd state, owner says that Fankie is very loving and will accept pets. They can give him treats from their hands and take toys from his mouth. Informaton on bevavior on baths, nail trims is unknown. Around strangers he will bark while backing up and approach cautiously. For A New Family to Know Frankie has a lot of energy. He always stays in the house except for vet visits and uses the bathroom inside the house (not housebroken). His favorite game is tug of war with people or with the other dogs in the home. He is fed two bowls of puppy chow each day. He knows sit, stay and give paw. Frankie is rarely placed on a leash and when he walks he pulls. Behavior During Intake Frankie was very nervous during intake. He was stress panting and began shaking after 15 minutes of interaction/taking a photo. He would not take treats from the cousnelors hand. Couneslor decided to limit interaction to allow Frankie to decompress.

03/23/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Frankie becomes aroused when he sees other dogs in the yard, stiffening and barking. However, due to his uncomfortability with handling he is unable to be muzzled and introduced. His owner provides a detailed account of his interactions with the two resident dogs: “Frankie lived with his mother ( a 4 year old pit bull) and a pug. The dogs are usually able to play with toys in the house together and are fed seperately. The first situation happened when the mother pit bull was in heat. This left a puncture wound on his face.” The behavior department recommends that Frankie does not go to a home with other dogs until these behaviors can be followed up on.
