04/14/16 13:35 Forbin entered the care center with the police. He sat next to the officers with a tense body. He ducked when scanned for a microchip but did not show any other concerning behaviors. When walked to the office, he had his tailed tucked and appeared tense. He allowed to be collared and photographed.

Forbin came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. At intake it was reported Forbin was tense with his tail tucked, he allowed all handling. During SAFER Forbin came into the assessment room calm and relaxed, he was social towards the assessor. He allowed all handling items to be conducted. Forbin was tense and rushed at the assessor during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Forbin was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Due to some concerns on tag item with Forbin have tense body language; the behavior department feels he can be suitable for an experience adopter with no children. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. His ears are back, his tail is down, and he has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 4. Dog rushes the assessor with tense body language and slowly de-escalates. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2:1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Toy 1: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. Dog-dog: Forbin greets loosely at the gate and is sexually motivated when he enters the pen. He continually licks and sniffs the female’s genital area and will attempt to mount. He is persistent after handler interruptions.

Forbin was surrendered as a stray so his past behavior with other dogs is unknown. At the Care Center, Forbin wanders a bit before rushing the gate with a high tail. Once let in the pen, he exchanges sniffs before becoming sexually motivated. He displays the same persistently sexual motivated behavior in multiple play group sessions. 4/21 Update: Forbin’s still greets with a high tail. When he is let into the pen he immediately becomes sexually motivated; he begins to whine and lick the other dog’s genitals area. He does not respond to handler interruptions. 5/4: Forbin greets loosely at the gate and is sexually motivated when he enters the pen. He continually licks and sniffs the female’s genital area and will attempt to mount. He is persistent after handler interruptions.
