A wise man once said that a smile is the universal welcome and it sure looks like Fly would welcome some company! I think it’s safe to say her unusual name comes from the slang term meaning ‘cool’ or ‘stylish’ because although she’s officially middle-aged, she’s still got that va-va-voom in the looks department and a genuine spring in her step, especially when it comes to meeting her fellow dogs. Friendly and ready to take on the world, Fly zooms enthusiastically out of her den but calms down once in harness and we have a nice walk through the ‘hood with her using the facilities promptly and then moving on to sniff anything and everything her nose can reach. Free in a pen she rambles about but comes when called for treats and sits politely to mouth them easily from my hand, accepting some petting into the bargain with a grateful smile. Fly is what I’d call a real ‘dog’s dog’ and once another pup enters the yard she instantly sprints over to say hello, bowing and whining to be near him. There’s clearly only one thing on her mind…she simply must play with this new friend! Fly aced her behavior assessment and would make a great companion for an active home, especially one with a furry family member or two for her to love. So come on in and give this pretty homegirl the happy ending she deserves, Fly can’t wait to meet you!
