I am a female cream beagle and dachshund mix. The shelter thinks I am about 11 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/08/2016 from OUT OF NYC, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/08/2016 Exam Type RE-EXAM – Medical Rating is 4 NC – SEVERE CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, Behavior Rating is NONE, Weight 27.0 LBS.
11/08/16 Check mammary masses, Geriatric exam O: BARH. Social, very willing to be handled when shown treats. Excellent appetite. ORAL: Mod. to severe calculus and gingivitis, oral odor. EENT: No oculonasal discharge. Mild waxy debris AU. H/L: No murmurs. Lungs clear. ABD: NSF on palpation. MS: Amb x 4, no lameness. INTEG: Two large SQ masses caudal abdomen, each associated with mammary glands. Right side – involves caudal two mammary glands/nipples, approx. 15 cm in diameter. No ulceration present, not painful on palpation. Left side – involves most caudal mammary gland, approx 7 cm in diameter, soft and not painful. PLN: No peripheral lymph node enlargement palpated. A: Mammary masses, one of which is quite large. Dental disease. P: Guarded prognosis depending on tumor type. Rec. biopsy prior to any surgical planning; if these are benign then prognosis is good with appropriate surgical treatment. Monitor while at BACC for any skin ulceration over larger tumor. Rec. placement.

11/08/16 13:47 Flounder is a beagle mix that appears to be 9 years old. The dog was found as a stray, wandering alone in a busy street. Finder noticed the dog and that it has a mass on his stomach. Flounder was friendly and relaxed. During intake Flounder approached counselor and sniffed. He allowed to be collard, scanned and photograph.

KNOWN HISTORY: Unknown Unaltered, Stray SAFER ASSESSMENT: 11/10/16 Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (need coaxing to approach.) She is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1&2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Toy: 1.Minimal interest in toy, dog smells, then turns away. Summary: Flounder is very friendly towards the assessor. DOG-DOG INTERACTION ASSESSMENT: Summary PLAYGROUP: Flounder was surrendered as a stray so her past behavior around other dogs is unknown.
