A Little Bit About Me…
A volunteer writes: Imagine coming home to Florence after a hectic day at work, being welcomed by a loving pooch longing to see you again like you had disappeared for a whole year. Florence is a gem so worth cherishing. Florence is a pretty and lovely tubby middle-aged dame, well dressed, so calm and collected in her kennel but lively outside, bright eyed and always smiling. She is a good little walker although getting a bit out of breath in the heat and slowed down by her weight. She is so obedient, sits on command and even hops with help on the bench for interminable cuddles. She loves treats (of course), jumps and sits for them. Other dogs, she is cool with them in the street or in playgroups. She does not respond to peers looking for trouble. Florence is much too wise for that. Florence is such a “feel good” dog bringing peace and warmth to my day at the care center. It never fails. I love her engaging face, her welcoming disposition, the way she makes the best of every opportunity to be happy. She is an epicurean pet! Florence is so often on my mind and we hope that once you adopt this special lady, she will always be on yours, too. Come and meet Florence at the Manhattan Care Center and take her home.

For more information on adopting from the NYC AC&C, or to find a rescue to assist, please read the following: http://urgentpodr.org/adoption-info-and-list-of-rescues. If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email [email protected]. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process. * We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.* For more info on behavior codes and ratings, please click here: http://information.urgentpodr.org/acc-placement-status-descriptions.
