I am a male br brindle and white am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 3 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 01/20/2016 from NY 11208, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

A staff member writes: Meet Flint! This handsome boy came in as a stray, so his past behaviors are unknown, but as far as we’ve seen Flint is a friendly and wiggly pup. He is social and affectionate towards humans and plays nicely with other dogs. If you’d like to meet Flint, come on down to the Brooklyn Care Center to meet him!

Flint came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. At intake it was reported Flint was friendly, loose and wiggly. He allowed all handling. During SAFER Flint came into the assessment room loose and wiggly, he was friendly, social and affectionate towards the assessor. He allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Flint joins the game during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Flint was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Flint appears to be sociable, and did not display any behaviors concerns, so the department feels he can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Dog jumps on Assessor once play begins. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are relaxed. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are relaxed. Toy 1: 1. Dog settles down close to chew, will relinquish toy to you. Dog-dog: When off leash with other dogs, Flint greets appropriately but exhibits a nervous body posture. Although he remains stiff througout the interaction, he was tolerant of pushy behavior.

Although she remains stiff througout the interaction, he was tolerant of pushy behavior. 1/26 update: Flint greets with a stiff and tense body. Once he enters the pen, he mostly avoids the other dog and explores the yard.
