A volunteer writes:
“Skin problem?? Skin condition???” What’s this all about ? See Me, just like in the commercial…., not my skin… I will get better, with the help of  the good doctors  but mostly thanks to  you, who will take me under your wing, love me, feed me and I will transform into the most gorgeous young adult you ever saw..” This was Flame talking, being his own advocate to make his way to your heart and your home….Flame is just a babe at 6 months of age. He was found as a stray, likely because his owners could not handle  his skin care. He is just adorable, strawberry blond with an eye color that sits between brown and green. He is carefree, lively, happy to be, super sociable and friendly and loves of course to come on the lap ,  be kissed and rub his itchy coat for relief…..His tail wags non stop..Flame pulls sometimes on the leash but accross the board, walks well. He does not mouth or go for the rope. He is a pretty well behaved youngster who can sit on command or at the sight of treats for which he will also jump in excitement. Our little Flame wants to shine really bright…For this, he will need your help, your love  and care…Come and meet him soon at the Manhattan Care Center. He is a little gem in the making !

If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email helpdogs@urgentpodr.org. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.

* We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
