Fairy
Hello, my name is Fairy. My animal id is #11252. I am a female brown dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years 2 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 30-Oct-2017, with the surrender reason stated as animal behaviour – aggressive to other animals.
Fairy is at risk for behavior concerns and can be placed only with a New Hope partner. Fairy displays highly dog reactive behavior, responding even to the sound of other dogs, and becomes highly anxious in the company of other dogs. At this time, we have no medical concerns for Fairy.

Potential challenges: : On-leash reactivity/barrier frustration
Potential challenges comments:: Owner reports Fairy will bark at other dogs while on a walk, lunging and growling. She may benefit from learning the cues ‘watch me’ and ‘leave it’ to refocus her attention if she is walked past another dog or other distractions.
