09/28/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/28/16 12:30 Evelyn is an adult female Chihuahua mix. She was found roaming outside and caught by a crossing guard. She was brought to ACC by police. They report that she growled and snapped when they approached her. Evelyn had a low body and tail and wide eyes. She avoided us. She growled and snapped as I scanned her for a MC (-). She remained tense and low-bodied as I took her pictures. She followed me on the leash. After a few minutes with me, she would stand within 2 feet of me. When a new person took her leash, she stood close next to my side.

09/30/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Evelyn was difficult to remove from her kennel lunging at the rope. Once she was removed from her kennel she walks calmly with fearful body language. Evelyn was stiff and did not show social behavior during the assessment. She was uncomfortable with handling snapping at the assessor during the look item. The behavior team decided to skip the handling part of the assessment for safety reasons. During the resources Evelyn was not interested in toys. The behavior department feels that she would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. Look: 5. Dog freezes and/or growls or tries to bite. Toy 1: No interest.
