A volunteer writes:

Young Eva is with us as her owners moved to a place not allowing big dogs. Unfortunately, they neglected to share with us all what they knew about their pet. Well, it is for us and for you to experience Eva and make up our minds about her… It’s a given..She has been well cared for, is the picture of health and looks absolutely magnificent in her perfect ebony and brandy coat. Her markings are very attractive and give her face a very soft look…Love at first sight of course… Eva is easy to leash and pulls somewhat on the walk. She could be house trained.  She does indeed do her business in one stop as we exit the care center. She is fine meeting other dogs but will want to chase the birds. A little shy at the beginning of our encounter, her slightly stern face gave in and transformed into an engaging one..Yes, a large smile appeared as well as bright an happy eyes. Eva came when I called her, sat on command …and for treats of course that she took eagerly (ah, Roties..), accepted my caresses and came to sit between my legs, head in my lap…We were friends now….Clearly and this is another piece of the puzzle, Eva is a social dog… She also can play ball and does not guard it. In playgroups, she is quite playful…like a young gal should be.  All in one…Eva is a very nice Rottweiler on the inside and the outside…If you love that particular breed (as I do), come quickly to the Manhattan Care Center, meet Eva and take her home as your forever best friend.
