Socialization:
Eric has lived with two adults. Around strangers he is described as shy but only takes a few minutes to warm up. He has not been around children, cats or other dogs. He has not bitten a person or another animal.
Behavior:
Owner did not try to touch Erics food while eating or take a treat or toy away. He will struggle when bathed and likes to be brushed. His nails were not trimmed by owner and Eric likes to be held. When a stranger approaches his home he will bark at first then walk up to sniff the visitor then retreat.
For a new family to know:
Eric’s activity level is described as low in the home, he likes to lay and cuddle. He has only been kept indoors and when home tends to be n the same rom as his owner. He is not housetrained and will have accidents in the house daily, owner left newspaper on the floor for Eric to use. He eats wet food and is fed twice a day. Owner stated he likes to bark loudly at night.
Upon intake Eric was calm and relaxed. He was held due to the length of his nails and im not being able to walk. Counselor was able to collar, scan (positive) and photograph.
