Elvis, a fourteen year old Shih Tzu born at home and raised all these years by the same family, was relinquished into our care as his owner had no time for her rets anymore. He was brought in with Tara, another senior who was already adopted. He lived in harmony with young children, elderly Tara and did not seem to cause much trouble to his former masters. He came in quite matted and with an impressive eye discharge that we are treating. Elvis caught immediately the attention of our groomer . Needless to say that he looks now quite handsome and much younger…He is an easy going elderly chap, accepts willingly a scarf around his neck and my cleaning of his eyes. He takes gently soft treats from my hand. Elvis is a bit lost on unfamilar grounds and severed from his family. I take him on my lap, swaddle him. He seems to like that and does not move an inch anymore……Elvis needs your help ….A person who knows how to care for the elderly and provide them with respect and love… Elvis is waiting for his angel at the Manhattan Care Center. Do not make him wait too long.
