04/16/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/16/16 13:05 Edwin was brought to ACC as a stray by the NYPD . He was very scared at first (shivering in the back of the police carrier, licking lips and showing whale eye when approached) but after giving him treats and going slow, Edwin began to warm up to the staff member. He then starter to take treats from our hands and began to jump up to give hugs. Be became attached to the vet assistant on duty and followed her around and wanted to stay by her side. He allowed us to collar, scan for microchip, and take photos.
04/20/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Edwin might still be a puppy but I find him absolutely statuesque. He knows also how to pose for photos, or maybe he is a “natural” model who can not take a bad picture. I can see him being the star of his litter and the pride of his mother. Edwin indeed is a beauty, strawberry blonde with pale green eyes. He is very well nourished, healthy and perfectly groomed. Still, this ten month old youngster was found as a stray. Being a little dumpling and body conscious that he has to grow a bit more, Edwin loves treats. He will sit for them and not beg insistently. He is a shy boy who walks with tail glued to his hinds, but a gentle approach slowly gets him to come out of his shell. Other dogs un-wrinkle his worries. Indeed, Edwin even seems to like little pooches. In the street, he pulls on the leash but finds his confidence back. He appears happier, his tail is up and floating above him. He might remember the walks he had with his former owners. Edwin is not “all looks”. He is a sweet puppy, gently needy and quite affectionate, a sweet lap dog who loves kisses and hugs. Young Edwin is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center. If you love beauty and puppies, come to us, ask to meet Edwin and hopefully take him hope as your very own forever best friend.
