06/19/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Little miss, little miss, little miss can’t be wrong. Sure you’ve heard about love at first sight, but do you about love BEFORE it? And how can anyone not fall in love with 4 year-old Edith just by reading her notes? Found tied up in front of a park, she lived happily in her finder’s home for 2 weeks playing gently with the finder’s young children. On her arrival at the shelter she was loose, wiggly, and allowed all handling with a “happy tail the whole time.” Miss Edith then proved to be so social and tolerant of other pups that she immediately snagged the coveted “greeter dog” position in playgroup! A superstar from the start. It must all be too good to be true. Except with Edith it isn’t. But let’s back up, those are Edith’s facts. Let’s get right down to her fun. I hope you’ve got some medication handy because you’re about to come down with infectious smile-itis. Edith’s smile takes up most of her beautiful face and it’s visible most of the time. Got ball, got toys, got snacks, got cuddles? Edith’s got an ear-to-ear grin to match and then a few extra on hand to spare. Then there is that delicious, ice cream coat. Coffee, and caramel, and chocolate swirled together. Scoop Edith on a sugar cone and hunker down for summer. Shall I go on? You got it. Leash manners – check. Housebroken – check. Photogenic – (oh Edith’s new family is required to start an Instagram page for her, you can’t deprive the world of this wonder) check, check! Little miss, little miss, little miss can’t be wrong. And you’ll never go wrong with her either. Edith is waiting in adoptions at Manhattan ACC.
