PROFILE :
Basic Information: Dusty is 12 years old altered male Lhasa Apso. He was found as a stray 4 years ago. Dusty appears to have a skin condition and urinates often. Owner surrenders Duty due to new baby and no space.
Social Life and Personality: Dusty lived with 6 adults and 14 year old teenager. Owner stated Dusty is friendly and outgoing towards strangers. Dusty is gentle towards adults in the home and children. His behavior is unknown towards dog but has lived with a cat. Owner stated Dusty was respectful and tolerant towards the cat. He’s mostly indoors and activity level is low. Owner describes Dusty as friendly and affectionate.
Behavior: Dusty has never bitten or scratched another animal. Dusty often urinates on his beds and likes to take people clothes to lay on to stay dry. He’s friendly when someone touches his food bowl while eating and can take toys or treats away from his mouth. He’s afraid of taking baths but isn’t bothered when in the tub. He’s friendly when unfamiliar people approach the house or family member.
For a New Family to Know: Dusty goes on walks three times a day and whines when he’s ready to go. He is crate trained and knows commands such as sit and get out. He has no interest in toys and likes to be rubs all day long. He eats wet and dry food once a day at 7pm. Owner suggests he goes to a home with an elderly couple.
Intake Behavior: Upon intake Dusty was calm and relaxed. He scanned positive for a microchip and allowed all handling.
