Drumstick’s eyes showed a possible eye infection (Pupil looks shot out and black). Behavior During Intake Upon intake, Drumstick’s body was calm and he allowed to be collard, photographed and put in a kennel.

Summary: Drumstick displayed no concerning behaviors on his assessment and was social throughout. DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 5-8 years old based on overall condition and dentition Microchip noted on Intake? Scanned positive! History : Found tied up outside, no hx available Subjective: Panting, alert. Allows most handling but becomes a bit mouthy about halfway through the exam. Could not do blood draw because pt was too squirmy and stressed. Objective BCS 5/9, MMs pink and moist EENT: OS cornea is black and desiccated, no discharge. Eyelids do not fully close over the globe. OD WNL. Ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: Moderate tartar PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Male intact, testicles S/S MSI: Small superficial scratch on dorsolumbar region. Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat. CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: 1. Corneal scarring 2. Dental disease Plan: Artificial tears (eye lube) OS BID x7 days – may need to continue long-term. Recommend dental cleaning in the near future. Prognosis: Good SURGERY: Okay for surgery 1088
