Dre
Hello, my name is Dre. My animal id is #15591. I am a male brown brindle dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years 1 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 07-Dec-2017, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- new baby.
Dre is at risk due to being diagnosed with Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex which is contagious to other dogs. He will likely require in home care with a course of antibiotics. there are no behavior concerns for Dre at this time, average determination.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
A volunteer writes: Forgot about Dre? Not a chance. As if it would ever be possible to ever forget the most delicious dumpling to walk this earth? An actual Tootsie Roll on four legs (and approximately the same size)? No, no. But what you’ll need to remember is just how much attention you’ll be getting walking around with a magnificent creature such as this. “He is so cute!” “I love him!” “He is just everything!” And that’s from people who’ve all met him before. When encountering strangers with this 2 year-old, brindled nugget at the end of your leash, I’d suggest some sort of protective gear (I mean for you) and to cancel any and all plans you might have made for the day. Because the crowds you’re bound to encounter, the swarms and legions of adoring and obsessive fans, will make Justin and his “Beliebers” look like a passing fad, and the Beatles “oh right, that band.” But let’s focus on your one-on-one time with Dre which, if you’re lucky, will be plentiful. Where you’ll enjoy lots of sloppy kisses, silly grunts, and delighted squeaks, and the sounds of a heart bursting with joy and with glee (I’m talking about you again). Little Dre walks nicely on leash, takes his treats gently, and appears to be very housebroken, tending to his business the second we cross the threshold to outdoors. He is a true silly wiggle butt, his happy hind side forever in motion, and is so contented with a ball in the sun and the snow, to watch him will make everything right in your world. Forgot about Dre? Nope not a chance, but just remember to keep your wits about you. For you’re about to meet the new love of your life, your very best friend. And you won’t want to miss a thing. Dre is waiting in adoptions at Manhattan ACC.
