05/16/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Drake seems to be a deep thinker. He’s quiet and low key, and I can see him pondering some impactful questions. Milk Bone or Pupperoni? Cuddle first, walk next or walk first then cuddle? Leash or harness? Animal Planet or Dancing with the Stars? A Dog’s Purpose or any other movie? So quiet in his kennel, up front and stunning with his rabbit ears and deep chocolate brown coat, I had already been told by another volunteer what a nice dog he is. Confirmed!! Likely housetrained, lovely leash manners, softly affectionate with a gentle wave of his tail, he’s an easy peasy boy and a pleasure to spend time with. Noticing other dogs in the park, he easily moves on, doesn’t mind being tethered for photos and gives me a soft look with soulful eyes. Off leash in a pen he comes in for cuddles, comes when I make kissy sounds at him, and as of this writing isn’t interested in balls or toys. Drake is looking forward to scintillating conversations with his new person, will always agree with your opinion, and will listen patiently as you make your point. Who doesn’t want a best friend like that? Come meet our handsome, quiet boy today. Another volunteer writes: Quiet, calm, gentle and easy, good on leash, seems housetrained…that’s our Drake. I see him cuddled with his person watching TV, enjoying a good book, and just relaxing. He comes when called, isn’t interested in toys or balls, and is happy leaning his head on my chest for cuddles…gently. Drake was a rockstar with a group of corporate volunteers, his easy personality endearing him to all. He’s so sweet I call him my Drakes Cakes, and he’s waiting to meet you. A soft touch, a quiet voice, and I guarantee he’ll be walking out the door with you. Do it today.
