07/12/2017 WEB MEMO
A staff member writes:Say hello to my old man Dozer. What a sweet heart he is.When I first met my old man, he remained with a loose wiggly body. He literally loves every single person he comes across. Every time I approach his kennel, Dozer smiles at me and wags his tail endlessly. Every visit with I have with Dozer, it means something to him. When I prepare to take Dozer outside, he gets so excited and it truly warms the heart. When me and my handsome fella go into the play yard, he engages in play with tennis balls and he also just runs around with me, but more or less, he really just enjoyed sitting next to me with one of my arms around him and the other arm petting him. He smiles 24/7 and although his teeth aren’t the best lol, hishis smile is definitely infectious. As much as I love him, this baby needs a forever home. Come see him at BACC today!!! Dozer is 10 years old, found July 3 wandering Jardin Street in Brooklyn. He weighs about 50 pounds and is in good physical shape. Not too thin nor too heavy. During intake Dozer had a loose body and was wagging his tail. He allowed the counselor to collar him and take his picture with no problems. Dozer was social and displayed no concern throughout his behavior assessment. When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Dozer displays soft body language when greeting a novel female dog. He is slightly sexually motivated and solicits and engages in cooperative play where his objective is to mount the female. With a neutered male dog, Dozer displays bouncy body language when solicited to play, but attempts to mount. Dozer is a social and energetic dog who would benefit from daily mental and physical stimulation as an outlet to direct his energy and enthusiasm. It seems that Dozer has not paid close attention to his teeth and so he has a bit of gingivitis – but don’t we all? At 10 years of age, this gentle fella still has a lot of energy and playfulness. He would be a perfect dog for someone who likes the occasional play in the park followed by long naps and Netflix chills on the sofa. Come visit him today at the Brooklyn Care Center or email [email protected] for more information about this sweet gentleman. Many thanks to Susie’s Senior Dogs for these wonderful photos!
