01/02/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Dottie is such a likable gal… She is really pretty, so feminine in her immaculate dotted dress and with her slightly round body. She has been so well cared for. The word Family Dog is written all over her.. Dottie was quite anxious when I first met her, even crying softly but by the next day, she seemed to feel better and even enjoyed our two walks. She takes a little bit of time to warm up and when she does, is very pleasant to spend time with. Yesterday, we played tag, she ran after a ball, we shared a Danish and Dottie ended up on the bench, next to me, a smile on her face, full of love, kissing me and being hugged. Dottie strolls at a good pace around the block, doing her business on the way. She has not paid attention to the pigeons or other dogs but soon enough she will have her chance at meeting her peers in playgroups. She comes when called and sits obediently on command. Dottie lived and played nicely with a little Yorkie and mingled harmoniously with children of all ages. I will not elaborate but her former owner had only outstanding words for Dottie, the kind of comments we want to hear when we seek to adopt a new pet. Dottie has won my heart. She might be a little bit timid and even wary here at the care center but I know that a fun and loving girl is hiding in that shy shell of hers… Come and meet her soon, show her the way to your home and heart and she will follow you like the happiest of all dogs.
