10/25/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Dottie is a dollie!! She is a big girl with the cutest droopy lips, looks like she’s probably been a mom to some beautiful babies, and has eyes that always look thoughtful and intelligent. She pulls on the leash occasionally and might jump up if she’s excited, but otherwise seems to have manners like a refined lady! More often than not, she’s been great on leash with me (she has an adorable slinky strut!) and frequently checks in (I like to think the looks we exchange confirm that she likes me just as much as I like her…a WHOLE BUNCH!). She seems housebroken, is super treat-motivated, and already knows “sit” and “down.” She is one of those dogs that listens very well, and waits patiently for her reward, but might create a puddle of drool in the meantime! She is very playful, loves toys, and when we play fetch, she drops the ball right at my feet or in my hands. She lights up when I approach her cage, flops over when I start to pet her when she’s “down,” and is very wiggly. If I sit down on a bench or ledge, she’s quick to join me, and giving her butt scratches sends her into a mini bout of the zoomies (with a pit stop during which she props her paws on my shoulders and licks my face clean!). There is just something about Dottie that I can’t get enough of…she is truly WONDERFUL. Come meet her at Brooklyn ACC and let The Adventures of Dottie and _____ (your name here!) begin!
